Koggio is Shopify shipping software that a real cosmetics brand already runs its daily fulfillment on. I originated it, I design and build everything customers touch, and I run the product and pricing. My co-founder builds the backend.

Koggio

About the project

Koggio started as a fix for one company’s shipping. At Madara Cosmetics, where I lead web, fulfillment needed to move off a third-party app, so I defined what a better tool had to do and how it should work, and we built it. That tool became Koggio, a shipping product for Baltic Shopify merchants, and Madara is now its founding customer, running its daily fulfillment on it.

What it does is straightforward: it imports orders, creates carrier labels, handles pickup points and tracking, and connects to the carriers a store already uses, DHL, DPD, SmartPosti and FedEx, with more on the way. What sets it apart is the deal: you ship on your own carrier contracts and pay no platform fee per label, and it can be self-hosted.

The approach

Most Shopify shipping tools take a cut of every label or fold your shipping into their own rates. Koggio’s bet is the opposite: your carriers, your margins, no per-label platform fee, and the option to self-host. For a store shipping real volume, that single decision is the whole pitch, and everything we build follows from it.

Because a real operation runs on it every day, the product is shaped against real volume instead of a spec. Which carriers matter, where the workflow breaks, what the pricing actually has to be, those calls are made against daily fulfillment, not a guess.

What I built

My side of Koggio is the product and everything customers see. I built the landing page, and I design and build the app’s interface, the order and label workflow, the carrier and pickup-point selection, the screens a merchant actually works in. I work mockup-first, designing and approving each screen before it goes into code, so the interface stays consistent as the product grows.

I am also its originator and owner. I defined the functionality from the real need to replace a third-party shipping app, I bring the ideas that set it apart, and I run the business side: pricing logic, positioning, and market. My co-founder builds the backend and the carrier integrations underneath. It is the clearest picture of how I work best, owning the product and the experience, paired with someone who owns the engine.

Where it stands now

Koggio is in early access, with its first carriers integrated, DHL, DPD, SmartPosti and FedEx, and more Baltic carriers on the way. Its founding customer already runs daily fulfillment on it, so the product is being shaped against real shipping volume, not a demo.

I keep building the front of it and steering the product, the design, the pricing, and the read on where it should go. It is the Mandet product I started, and the one I am most hands-on with on the product and design side.
